From May 29th till June 1st, 2024, the Empress Catherine II Saint Petersburg Mining University held an event of the world class, the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Directions in the Design of Mining Enterprises: Safe and Efficient Development of Mineral Deposits”.
The Employees of RANIMI, FSBSI took part in the conference by delivering the following in-person reports:
- “Performance Capabilities of the System for Processing and Analyzing the Results of Microseismic Monitoring of a Coal-Rock Mass” (authors A. V. Antsiferov, L. A Kamburova., A. A. Glukhov);
- “Hydrogeomechanical Prediction on Flooding the Mine Workings of Coal Mines under Closure” (authors N. N. Grishchenkov, L. N. Krizhanovskaya, E. A. Bardakova);
- “Features of the Intensive Displacement of Layered Rock Mass above the Mined-Out Space in the Course of Coalface Operations” (author N.N. Lobkov).
450 representatives of leading enterprises and of the scientific community from different cities of Russia and from abroad took part in the conference by delivering more than 140 reports.
The program of the event included:
- Panel discussion “Prospects and Issues in Developing the Mineral Resources Sector”;
- Three core lectures;
- Seven sectional sessions: Geodynamic Safety and Geomechanical Issues in Mineral Deposits Development; Development of Mineral Deposits; Modern Technologies in Drilling and Blasting Operations; Digital Technologies in Solving the Issues of Safe Deposit Development; Geomechanical Support and Hazards in Open-Pit Development of Mineral Deposits; Issues of Locating the Mining Wastes; Mine Surveying Support for Safe Development of Mineral Deposits and Underground Space.
- Three round table meetings.
In the course of the conference, the contemporary issues and achievements in the sphere of geomechanics and geodynamics in the development of mineral deposits and of the underground space, the theory and computational modeling of geomechanical processes and of the results of experimental&theoretical studies in the sphere of geotechnology, mine surveying and geodesy, the analytical and numerical methods for modeling and calculating soil mass, basement and foundations, etc. were discussed.
