From June 17th till June 21st, 2024, the Melnikov Institute for the Problems of Integrated Subsoil Development of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPKON RAS) held the 6th conference of the International Scientific School of Academician of the RAS K. N. Trubetskoy “Challenges and Prospects of Integrated Development and Preservation of the Earth's Interior” (Moscow, Russia), dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian science.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Department of Earth Sciences, the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the Issues of Mining, Melnikov Institute for the Problems of Integrated Subsoil Development of RAS, Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution, the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists.
The Director of RANIMI, FSBSI V.A.Driban delivered a welcoming speech in representation of RANIMI, FSBSI along with a plenary report “A New Approach to Assessing the Stability of Rock Mass Surrounding the Workings”. The following employees of the Institute also participated in the conference:

A series of reports presented by RANIMI employees was noted as one of the best reports in the Section, namely: “A New Approach to Predicting Sinkhole Formation in the Near-Surface Zone of a Fluid-Saturated Mass” (speaker B. V. Khokhlov), “Testing the New Approach to Predicting Sinkhole Formation in the Near-Surface Zone of a Fluid-Saturated Mass” (speaker M.D.Rozhko), “Practice of Applying the New Approach to Assessing the Permeability of an Undermined Rock Mass” (speaker N. A. Dubrova).
The report on the topic “Extraction of a Useful Signal out of the Noisy Data in the Course of Microseismic Monitoring” was recognized as the best report among the young scientists. The speaker A. Y. Gritsaenko is an employee working at the Ecological and Geophysical Research Department.

- remote participation “On the Algorithms for Analyzing the Results of the Microseismic Monitoring of Coal-Rock Masses” (authors A. A. Glukhov, A. V. Antsiferov).
The report on the topic “Peculiarities of Using a Ground Laser Scanner when Shooting Large-Scale Surface Objects” was recognized as the best report among the young scientists in the Section. The speaker P. M. Golubev is the Candidate of Engineering Science and the Head of the Department for Geodynamic and Geophysical Processes.
The Director of RANIMI, FSBSI Doctor of Engineering Science V. A. Driban was granted a letter of gratitude for the active participation of the Institute's employees and young scientists in the conference “Challenges and Prospects of Integrated Development and Preservation of the Earth's Interior”.
The best reports of the young scientists A. Y. Gritsaenko and P. M. Golubev were awarded with Diplomas and valuable gifts.
