The III All-Russian competition "Inventor of the Year".
Participation is possible in any of the four categories:
- Grand Prix;
- Innovator of the Year;
- Mentor of the Year;
- Inventor of the Year.
The categories of the "Inventor of the Year" competition were defined in accordance with the nine lines of the national technological leadership projects: production and automation means; industrial support for transport mobility; technological support of food security; new materials and chemistry; unmanned aviation systems; new nuclear and energy technologies; development of space technologies; new health-preservation technologies; new bioeconomy technologies.
Contestants are divided into two categories: "Young Inventor" and "Inventor."
Based on the results of the competition, 61 awardees and winners will be granted with cash prizes and valuable gifts. The total prize fund exceeds five million rubles. The awards ceremony will be held on November 15 in Moscow.

The competition is held by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia jointly with the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers (VOIR) under the support of the Center for Inventorship Development of the MPEI National Research University.
