The conference was held at Sevastopol State University from September 8 till September 11 under the support of Voronezh State Technical University. Representatives from F. Skorina Gomel State University, the Institute of Seismology and Geodynamics by V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, and the Scientific&Research Institute for Fire Defense by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of the Consequences of Natural Disasters of the Russian Geological Society also participated in it.
Within the frameworks of the conference current ecological&geological, engineering&ecological, economic&legal, medical&biological issues, technosphere safety issues, and as well the issues related to environmental hazards and ensuring the environmental safety of natural and human-modified territories were discussed.
Presentations at the plenary session were delivered by the Deputy Director for Scientific Work, Doctor of Engineering Science A.A. Glukhov; Head of the Soil Surface Displacement and Undermined Structures Protection Department, Doctor of Engineering Science N.N. Grishchenkov; and also the Head of the Geological Department, Doctor of Geological Sciences T.P. Volkova.
