The event was held on June 24-25 in Donetsk under the support and participation of the Government of the Donetsk People's Republic, the Ministry of Transport of the Donetsk People's Republic, and " SERVICE FOR THE ROADS OF DONBAS" State Public Institution of the DPR.
The main areas discussed at the congress were:
- Development of the Donbas roads infrastructure;
- Localization and development of productions in road and construction sector;
- Improving the quality and efficiency in conducting road construction works;
- Cooperation with regions of the Russian Federation;
- Road and bridge repair: enhancing the efficiency and reducing costs in the long term prospective;
- Development of urban passenger transport within the framework of a long-term strategy for the development of road transport infrastructure;
- Digital technologies in public road system management;
- Training personnel for road industry.
Head of the Soil Surface Displacement and Undermined Structures Protection Department, Doctor of Engineering Science Professor N. N. Grishchenkov presented his report "Ways to Solve Geomechanical Issues in Constructing and Operating Highways under the Challenging Mining and Geological Conditions." In his report, he highlighted the main factors influencing the design, construction, and operation of highways in Donbas.
