On June 26, 2026, the scientific community of the Donetsk People's Republic took an important step toward further development and strengthening of the region's scientific and technological potential. On this day, Order of the DPR Committee on Science and Technology No. 75 dated May 14, 2026, "On the Creation of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Donetsk People's Republic" was officially published. The Order can be found on the official website.
Creation of the Regional Council of Young Scientists and Specialists will become a significant phase in the development of a unified system for supporting young researchers, engineers, and specialists. The new advisory and coordinating body is designed to unite representatives of the scientific community, promote the development of research activities, strengthen interdepartmental cooperation, and implement promising scientific and technological projects.
The main activities of the Council will include:
- Coordinating the scientific and technological activities of young scientists, postgraduate and undergraduate students, specialists of the higher education institutions and scientific institutions of the Republic;
- Facilitating the development of innovative activities, supporting promising scientific projects, technological startups, and initiatives, and as well supervising the process of their practical introduction and commercialization;
- Representing and protecting the interests of young scientists and specialists in their interaction with government bodies of the Donetsk People's Republic, participating in the preparation of offers aimed at improving the state scientific standards;
- Developing interregional and all-Russian scientific cooperation, expanding the young researchers participation in grant programs, scientific forums, conferences, and other events facilitating the integration of the Donbas scientific community into the national scientific and educational systems.
Head of the RANIMI, FSBSI Department for Geodynamic and Geophysical Processes, Candidate of Engineering Science Philipp Maksimovich Golubev joined the regional Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the DPR in the position of its Deputy Chairman.
The launch of the Council opens new opportunities for consolidating the Republic's young scientists, creating an effective system of professional interaction, sharing experience, and promoting promising scientific initiatives. The Council's activities are expected to become an important tool for supporting young researchers, developing human resources, and strengthening the region's scientific and technological sovereignty.
