RANIMI Environmental and Geophysical Research Department has developed DNB/V01 Converter & Register program for converting data of the UGRA autonomous seismic station.
At present, users of UGRA seismic stations are experiencing unstable operation of the GPS unit included in the seismic station kit. The conversion programs included in the UGRA seismic station kit function incorrectly in case of GPS data failure or corruption. As a result, it is impossible to visualize and process recorded data using the WSG program, which is adopted as the standard one for seismological data processing at the Unified Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The developer of the UGRA seismic station Federal Research Center of the Unified Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FRC UGS RAS) (Obninsk) stopped supporting the hardware and software, which is still widely used in Russia.
The permanent geophysical center established at RANIMI Seismic Research Facility is now operating in a reliable manner. Data acquisition system consisting of a Galperin seismic sensor or three separate SM-3KV seismic pick-ups, a UGRA seismic system and a data acquisition computer is continuously operating at the Facility. The equipment is provided with keep alive power supply.
The DNB/V01 Converter & Register program allows for converting UGRA seismic station data files into *.CHN, *.CHE and *.CHZ channel files, setting the correct time and date for signal recordings, and in case of necessity for registering *.CHN, *.CHE and *.CHZ files in the WSG program database for visualization and further analysis.
