announces a competition for the vacant position of a
Deputy Director for Scientific Work (1 full-time position).
Branch of Science: Earth Sciences.
Education: Higher professional education, Doctor of Science or Candidate of Science degree.
Job description:
- identify the promising research areas;
- assess the impact of the results of research in promising areas on the development of science, technology, and society as a whole;
- manage the institution's scientific activities;
- elaborate and implement the institution's scientific development strategy and scientific research program (plan); provide for the thematic plans implementation, high quality and scientific level of the works, and for the usage in practice of the results thereof;
- make arrangements for the implementation of applied and fundamental research and developments in accordance with the institution's scientific research plan;
- monitor the compliance with established requirements and standards;
- coordinate the activities of the subordinate structural departments, ensure their using domestic and foreign scientific and technical achievements, patents, scientific&informational materials, and advanced work implementation methods in their activities;
- provide for monitoring and submission of reporting documentation;
- organize and monitor contractual activities and interaction with external organizations within the framework of the institution's scientific activities;
- provide for the rational placement and engagement of personnel in assigned departments, and for maintaining production and labor discipline.
Special Requirements:
A doctoral or candidate of science degree and at least five years of scientific experience after the thesis defense. Experience in scientific&organizational work and participation in scientific events as a speaker. Over the past five years, there must be:
- at least 10 publications in scientific journals indexed in the White List, RSCI, VAK, and other publications listed in national and international scientific citation databases;
- individual or collective monographs, patents for inventions and utility models; reports at national or international scientific conferences;
- experience in managing and implementing scientific research.
Terms and Conditions:
Salary: Basic salary – 127,750.0 rubles.
Incentive payments are in accordance with the Regulations on Compensation for RANIMI, FSBSI Employees.
The employment contract to be concluded for an indefinite term.

Junior Researcher (1 full-time position) at the Department for the Issues of Geomechanics of Fluid-Saturated Rock Masses.
Branch of Science: Earth Sciences.
Research and development area, research topics: geomechanical and hydrogeomechanical studies into fluid-saturated rock masses for ensuring the efficient and safe exploitation of mineral deposits. Research into the issues of geomechanics in fluid-saturated, technogenically disturbed rock masses.
Requirements to Qualification: Higher professional education – specialist’s or master's degree in the relevant profile (program) of study.
Job Description: fulfilling individual tasks within the framework of research objectives.
Special requirements:
- skills in computer modeling the hydrogeomechanical processes under the conditions undermined rock masses being fluid-saturated;
- knowledge of methods and experience in experimental work on determining the sorption-kinetic properties of rocks;
- skills in geoinformation systems;
- knowledge of mine workings dewatering methods for the mines under liquidation, and as well of the main types and characteristics of dewatering equipment;
- at least three scientific publications in the last five years (articles in scientific journals indexed in the White List, Higher Attestation Commission, and other national scientific citation databases); patents for inventions and utility models; and reports at national or international scientific conferences;
- experience in conducting research works.
Terms and Conditions:
Salary: basic salary – 55,644.0 rubles.
