It is designed for carrying out research by in-mine seismic survey methods.

It is intended for implementing the method of seismic location from a single mine working with the possibility of analyzing the obtained information under the in-mine conditions.
The in-mine equipment is produced with the use of modern hardware components in an explosion-proof design and can be used in coal mines, including those hazardous in terms of gas and (or) coal dust, and as well of sudden emissions in accordance with the Safety Rules in Coal Mines NPAOT 10.0-1.01-16

ShAI-8 PORTABLE IN-MINE ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE ANALYZER
ShAI-8 is designed for operational prediction of gas-dynamic phenomena in the course of outburst prone formations development.
SHAI-8 allows solving the following tasks:
- detecting the rock mass structural failure zones, where the accumulation or redistribution of stresses is actively occurring; at that, the intensity of electromagnetic emission is significantly higher than in materials with decompressed stresses;
- detecting the increased rock and gas pressure zones associated with increased gas-dynamic activity in coal seams.
The scope of SHAI-8 application is not limited to a set of tasks related to the safety and efficiency of mining operations in coal mines in Ukraine, and can be expanded with field studies on assessing the stress&strain state of any rock masses.
