The Agreement between Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University and the Republican Academic Scientific, Research and Design Institute for Mining Geology, Geomechanics, Geophysics and Mine Surveying was signed within the frameworks of the international scientific and practical conference "Tunnels and Subways of the Future: The First 100 Years."
The Agreement provides for the development of scientific, technical, and industrial cooperation between the institutions. The Parties intend to jointly participate in the development of regional programs and projects aimed at road infrastructure modernization, and as well to conduct research in topical areas of the transportation industry.
Priority cooperation areas include mining and geological substantiation for roads and railways construction at undermined territories, expert evaluation of innovative scientific and technical developments and programs, and the creation of modern systems for monitoring and assessing the road infrastructure condition.
