\"\"Andrey Vladimirovich Savenko was born on December 23, 1972 in Donetsk. He had a higher education: graduated from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute (Program of Study: Mining Engineer<\/em>), from Donetsk Academy of Management (Program of Study: Master in Business Administration<\/em>), from the postgraduate school at the Institute of Physics of Mining Processes.<\/p>\n

In 2008, he defended his thesis for the Candidate of Science Degree under the Program of Study 05.15.02 Subsoil Development of Mineral Deposits; <\/em>the topic of his thesis was \u201cSubstantiation of Rational Modes of Mechanized Working Face Supports in Sections with Hazardous Roof\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Andrey started his career at the A.F. Zasyadko mine, where he worked as a Subsoil Mining Foreman, Deputy Mine Overseer, then he worked at the Donetsk Academy of Management and Government Service by the Head of the DPR, State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education (Associate Professor at the Innovation Management and Project Leadership Department). From 2014 till 2021, he worked part-time at RANIMI in the position of a Senior Researcher at the Geomechanical and Technological Processes Management Department. He was engaged in research into the behavior of the rock mass of a sedimentary rocks roof above the longwalls\u2019 mined-out space, he is the co-author of the methodology for physical modeling of the layered rock mass behavior and of the method for calculating the step of the primary and secondary main roof caving in the process of designing a longwall mine section based on geological prospecting data.<\/p>\n

From March 2022, Andrey Savenko was conscripted into the ranks of the DPR People's Militia, participated in the liberation of the Donetsk People's Republic, was in command of an assault platoon at the Avdeevka front, got the military rank of Senior Lieutenant.<\/p>\n

Andrey perished on January 23, 2023 in the village of Verkhnetoretskoye near Avdeevka. During the assault on the positions, he displayed courage and bravery, while saving his soldiers he got killed in a land mine blast under the enemy artillery fire.<\/p>\n

Andrey Vladimirovich defended his Motherland in the most courageous manner and fulfilled his civic and military duty with honor. He was a honorable citizen and a patriot of his country. He lived his life brightly, creatively, with entire dedication to other people.
\nHe was a highly qualified employee, a diligent, hardworking, positive, friendly and reliable person always coming to the aid of those in need.<\/p>\n

For the bravery and dedication displayed during the Special Military Operation by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 30.05.2024 Andrei Vladimirovich Savenko was awarded the Order of Courage (posthumously).<\/p>\n

The boy and his mother, Larisa Viktorovna, live in Umyot, Tambov Oblast, where they moved from Donetsk after the start of the Special Military Operation in March 2022. Now Artyom is a fourth-grade pupil at the Umyot Agroengineering School, he is involved in athletics at the Children's and Youth Sports School and tries to help his mother in everything.
