The elaborated model is based on determining the stress state of the heavy half-plane subjected to introduction of series of straight-line cuts with their height equal to the thickness of the layers being worked out, loaded with self-balancing forces, while taking into account the loads restoration due to the closure of the roof and the soil, as well as the \"counterpressure\" equal to the height of water column in certain areas of the worked-out space.<\/p>\n<p>The analytical model developed was used when simulating the flooding of the \"Maria\" shaft of the Sovetskaya mine in Makeyevka to a modified level, in order to assess the impact of the water level rise on the geomechanical stability of the shaft's support.
